The climate crisis is devastating all ecosystems, and the ice giants are gradually disappearing. The situation in which the world finds itself today in an environmental aspect is critical, droughts, melting, temperature rises, catastrophic events in different sectors, give rise to an uncertain life, in the midst of constant uncertainties. This is why the question arises, how does architecture make it possible to make known and generate a response regarding the climate crisis? Glaciers are a vital element in the continuous chain of the global ecosystem, and are also one of the most vulnerable components in terms of rising temperatures, which accelerates their disappearance. Chile as a country is an opportunity for the study of glaciers as it is the country that contains the largest glacier mass in South America. Therefore, the project will focus on the largest ice giant in our country, the southern ice fields, specifically on the northern access to them, the Jorge Montt glacier. After analyzing and studying different components, concepts and characteristics of the territory, you realize that it is a mostly unknown territory, allowing an opportunity to enter the inhospitable. The lighthouse appears as a concept used to open new horizons, to publicize and highlight what exists, generating an opening of new territories, giving way to the unification of the inhabitant and the resources of the place, allowing the enhancement and at the same time preserving the fields of ice.
