Satisfacción e insatisfacción en los docentes con cargos administrativos de instituciones de educación superior: un estudio exploratorio en tiempos de Covid-19

Resumen
La pandemia del COVID-19 fue declarada por la Organización Mundial de la Salud como una emergencia de salud pública de connotación internacional el 30 de enero de 2020. Tal contingencia sanitaria provocó grandes cambios en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad y la educación superior no fue la excepción. La migración urgente de la educación presencial hacia la modalidad online desafió el quehacer de muchos, entre ellos, los docentes con cargos administrativos (DcA) de las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES). El objetivo del estudio es explorar los principales factores de satisfacción e insatisfacción de los DcA que afrontan el gran reto de administrar las IES de forma remota, en tiempos de COVID-19. Se realizó una investigación cualitativa con la técnica de incidentes críticos que arrojó un total de 643 incidentes críticos. Los resultados muestran que la satisfacción y la insatisfacción de los DcA resultan en ocho categorías: la gestión de presupuesto, las condiciones físicas, las instalaciones y el equipamiento de trabajo, el tiempo y la carga laboral, la relación con colegas, la supervisión, la administración de estudiantes, la administración de los docentes y la administración y gestión general.
The COVID-19 pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization as a public health emergency of international impact on January 30, 2020. Such health contingency caused significant changes in all areas of society, and higher education has been no exception. The urgent migration from face-to-face education to the online modality challenged the work of many, including teachers with management positions in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The objective of the study is to explore the main factors of satisfaction and dissatisfaction of the teachers with management positions who face the great challenge of managing the HEIs remotely, in times of COVID-19. A qualitative investigation was carried out with the critical incident technique that yielded a total of 643 critical incidents. The results show that satisfaction and dissatisfaction of the teachers with management positions, resulting in eight categories: budget management, physical conditions, work facilities and equipment, time and workload, relationship with colleagues, supervision, student administration, teacher administration, and general management.
