Abstract
Este ensayo busca reflexionar sobre la imagen de la estigmatización de la mujer como bruja enfocada en la cultura latinoamericana. Mi enfoque se centra en la historia de la cacería de brujas, una de las mayores masacres injustificadas hacia el género femenino. A través de la investigación y experimentación con materiales cargados de historia, exploré su utilidad y su significado cultural, revelando cómo estos elementos, además de su función práctica, encierran estigmatizaciones y relatos propios que se entrelazan con temas relevantes. Mi objetivo es crear un proyecto artístico que genere un relato crítico sobre la estigmatización de la brujería como una práctica asociada a lo femenino.
This essay seeks to reflect on the image of women in Latin American culture and their stigmatization as witches. My focus is on the history of the witch hunt, one of the greatest unjustified massacres of the female gender. Through research and experimentation with materials steeped in history, I explored their utility and cultural significance, revealing how these elements, in addition to their practical function, enclose stigmatizations and narratives of their own that are intertwined with relevant themes. My goal is to create an artistic project that generates a critical account of the stigmatization of witchcraft as a practice associated with the feminine.
