In this essay, I will address a pictorial proposal focused on the evocation and gesturality of the stain and its relationship with the repression of memories that lie in the memory. In my work the stain is the result of those memories and personal recollections that have been forgotten or somehow contained in the mind, and how through its gestuality that implies its process, the stain can reveal elements hidden in the unconscious leaving a trace. In the text I make a reasoned tour of how and why I went from figuration to abstraction, highlighting that I have identified in the abstract a key, as it would have the ability to reveal the repressed, the hidden, the censored in the mental and emotional processes. Specifically, I have tried to work abstraction from the concept of evocation, which I have developed through the use of ink and canvas spread in space.
