Abstract
Ante el cierre de los establecimientos educacionales debido a la crisis sanitaria del Covid-19, los y las docentes escolares se vieron forzados/as a impartir clases virtuales desde su hogar, generando una serie de efectos en su vida laboral y familiar. El objetivo de esta tesis es explorar las experiencias de teletrabajo y familia de profesoras escolares madres de la región Metropolitana de Chile, durante la pandemia del Covid-19. Es un estudio de tipo exploratorio-descriptivo en donde se realizaron 18 entrevistas semiestructuradas de manera remota a profesoras escolares madres entre 26 y 44 años de edad, pertenecientes a establecimientos municipales, particulares subvencionados y particulares pagados de la región Metropolitana de Chile, y analizadas mediante la estrategia de aproximación narrativa. Se considera la sociología del individuo y lentes de género como perspectivas teóricas para analizar las experiencias de las participantes. Los resultados señalan que la extensión de la jornada y aumento de la carga laboral tienen relación con la organización de los establecimientos; que estar adjudicados a la ley de teletrabajo no significa que los derechos y condiciones laborales estén resguardados y, por último, que los establecimientos no han generado políticas propositivas de conciliación para el cuerpo docente. En base a las experiencias manifestadas por las profesoras, se sugiere establecer un horario laboral y un medio oficial para la comunicación entre la comunidad escolar; contratar personal que aminore la carga administrativa; y mayor fiscalización de las condiciones laborales de los y las docentes escolares durante la pandemia.
Faced with the closure of educational institutions due to the health crisis of Covid-19, school teachers were forced to teach virtual classes from home, generating a series of effects on their work and family life. The objective of this thesis is to explore the experiences of telework and family of school teachers mothers in the Metropolitan region of Chile, during the Covid19 pandemic. It is an exploratory-descriptive study where 18 semi-structured interviews were conducted remotely to school teachers mothers between 26 and 44 years of age, belonging to municipal, private subsidized and private paid establishments of the Metropolitan region of Chile, and analyzed through the narrative approach strategy. The sociology of the individual and gender lenses are considered as theoretical perspectives to analyze the participants' experiences. The results indicate that the extension of the workday and increase of the workload are related to the organization of the establishments; that being awarded to the telework law does not mean that the rights and working conditions are safeguarded and, finally, that the establishments have not generated proactive policies of conciliation for the teaching staff. Based on the experiences expressed by the teachers, it is suggested to establish a work schedule and an official means of communication among the school community; to hire personnel to lessen the administrative burden; and greater oversight of the working conditions of school teachers during the pandemic.
