Abstract
Lanusse fue, a lo largo de su vida, uno de los símbolos más importantes del antiperonismo. Luego de la caída de Perón en 1955, fue incrementando su poder en el seno del Ejército, convirtiéndose en Comandante en jefe del arma en 1968, y en Presidente de facto en 1971, a esto se adhería que Lanusse se había convertido en la contra imagen de Perón. Sin embargo, en esta disputa contra el líder exiliado, Lanusse fue comprendiendo la necesidad de integrarlo ante las luchas encarnadas por la guerrilla que explotaban en su nombre y la trascendencia de incluir en la vida política a la totalidad de personas no violentas que estaban identificadas con ese movimiento político. Este trabajo intenta mostrar a partir del análisis de los tres libros escritos por Lanusse, en tres momentos distintos de su vida, como veía al peronismo y a Perón. Cuáles fueron las características que influyeron en su discurso. Perón y Lanusse mantuvieron una disputa fundada en ver quién lograba superar las antinomias del pasado para poder colocarse por encima de la reyerta peronismo – antiperonismo.
Lanusse was one of the most important anti-peronist symbols throughtout his life. After the overthrow of Perón in 1955, Lanusse’s prestige increased among the Argentine Army Forces, becoming Commander-in-Chief of the Argentine Army in 1968, and the facto President of Argentina between 1971 and 1973. In this way, Lanusse became the counterimage of Perón. However, in this dispute against the exiled leader, Lanusse realized the need to integrate Perón, to face the struggles embodied by the “guerrilla” activity (a Peronist movement) who acted on his behalf, and to include all the people identified with that political movement. This paper attempts to understand the way that Lanusse saw the Peronist movement and his leader Perón, from the analysis of the three books he wrote, in three different moments of his life. What were the characteristics that influenced his speech. Likewise, it is observed a dispute between the two leaders which was based on seeing who could overcome the contradictions of the past to be placed above the Peronism – anti-Peronism controversy.
