graduation profiles of accredited nursing careers in Chile, in order to know the
convergences and the declared graduation profiles. Currently, in Chile there are 44
institutions that teach the nursing career and XX are accredited by the National
Accreditation Commission (CNA); Specifically, the sample of this study will be
constituted from them. The study was carried out through qualitative content
analysis, of a documentary type, carried out through an intentional sampling a
selection of accredited schools, which adjusted to the objective, a literary review was
used, as a data collection instrument and analysis matrices were used. to
systematize and organize and, subsequently, describe and establish the similarities
and differences between the profiles and thus categorize and highlight the elements
under investigation. Among the main findings, the profile of most of the graduates is
focused on ethics, continuous training and social sensitivity, to optimize work
processes in the area of care, comprehensive care and social commitment. On the
other hand, all institutions declare both critical and reflective thinking, and in some,
citizen training is added, as well as communication skills, as necessary aspects of
the professional nursing role."
