- Resumen
Active or current personal files can continue to grow as long as the producers' personal and professional activities last. The personal archives that are nowadays being kept are an important source of information, especially for drawing up biographies and tracing career paths, as they are primary sources of information. In any case, specific tasks must be carried out to maintain order and documentary control, following the basic principles laid down by the archive. These are tasks carried out by professional archivists and following standardised guidelines, regardless of the documents contained in the archives, as well as the different supports. The question is: What happens when, voluntarily, without prior archival knowledge, someone decides to take charge of the archive and make it work well? A real testimony is that of Mr Antonio del Campo Machicado, who tells us about his passion for the archive, how he made his ideas available to the entities where he worked, how they were accepted and the legacy he left behind: a way of personalising the professional archive. This testimony also shows a part of his personal archive (ACM Archive), and thus pays homage to all the anonymous personal archives, rich in particular "treasures".
